STORY RECAP

What happened in Season 22?

The season began with a series of school shootings at South Park Elementary, which everyone seemed nonchalant about, except Sharon. Cartman, meanwhile, was dealing with his own issues, having failed a math test after copying answers from Token, and believing Token had sabotaged him. As the season progressed, the town's attention turned to Father Maxi, who was struggling to deliver his sermons amid constant jokes. Butters attempted to console Maxi, but their newfound friendship was misinterpreted by the rest of the town. Later, Mr. Hankey was fired from directing the annual holiday pageant due to his offensive tweets, and he enlisted Kyle's help to regain his reputation. The vaping craze soon hit South Park, with Cartman and Butters selling vapes to their classmates, while Kyle strongly opposed the trend. Randy, frustrated with the recent issues, decided to move his family to a marijuana farm, but a vape salesman followed him and attempted to steal his product. The town's problems continued to escalate, with the appearance of e-scooters causing panic on Halloween, and a mysterious creature killing citizens, leading to the boys being wrongfully arrested by the police. However, they eventually escaped and Stan confronted the person responsible for bringing the creature to South Park. As the season drew to a close, Cartman's anxiety led him to wear a cardboard box over his head, starting a new trend, while PC Principal and Strong Woman dealt with their quintuplets. The town was also affected by the opening of an Amazon warehouse, which led to a strike by the employees, and the boys' plans for a bike parade were disrupted. Randy found a way to capitalize on the situation by selling more marijuana, while Kenny's father forced him to participate in the strike.
