The Bourne Ultimatum

The Bourne Identity begins with Jason Bourne being rescued by Italian fishermen with gunshot wounds and amnesia. As he tries to piece together his past, he discovers a safe deposit box in Zurich containing various currencies, passports, and a handgun. With the help of Marie Kreutz, Bourne evades Swiss police and escapes to Paris. Along the way, he kills Castel, a CIA agent, and later learns that he was responsible for a failed assassination attempt on African dictator Wombosi. The Professor, who is mortally wounded by Bourne, reveals their shared connection to Treadstone. Bourne eventually breaks into the Treadstone safe house, kills Conklin, and recalls his past through flashbacks. After announcing his resignation from Treadstone and fighting his way out of the safe house, Bourne reunites with Marie in Mykonos. As the story continues in The Bourne Supremacy, Jason Bourne and Marie Kreutz are living in Goa, but their life is disrupted when a CIA agent is killed and the Neski files are stolen. The CIA frames Bourne for the attack, and Pamela Landy suspects him of involvement in the theft of $20 million seven years prior. Bourne flees Goa and eventually learns that Abbott, Conklin's boss, had him framed and stole the $20 million. After confronting Abbott, who later kills himself, Bourne travels to Moscow and finds Neski's daughter, Irena, confessing to murdering her parents. Landy finds evidence incriminating Abbott and Gretkov, leading to Gretkov's arrest. The movie ends with Bourne's original name, David Webb, being revealed to him by Landy, and he disappears into New York City, watching over Landy.
