STORY RECAP

What happened before For Your Eyes Only?

The story so far begins with Moonraker, where James Bond is assigned to investigate the hijacking of a Drax Industries Moonraker Space Shuttle. Bond's investigation leads him to Hugo Drax, the owner of Drax Industries, and his henchman Chang, in California. He also meets Holly Goodhead, a CIA agent, and discovers a secret biological laboratory where Drax is creating a nerve gas deadly to humans. As Bond delves deeper, he survives various attacks, including being thrown from a plane by Jaws and escaping from Drax's forces in Rio de Janeiro. Bond and Goodhead eventually escape and pose as pilots of Moonraker 6, disabling the radar jamming device and allowing the US military to intercept the space station. Jaws, who had been working for Drax, turns against him, and Drax's forces are defeated. The space station is destroyed, and Drax is killed. Bond and Goodhead destroy the launched globes and are later seen together in zero gravity by their superiors via a video feed. This is where the story stands, with Bond having successfully completed his mission to stop Drax and his nefarious plans.
